NIH Required IBC Training Presentations
Nationally recognized biological safety expert, Robert J. Hashimoto, conducted training for Principal Investigators and laboratory staff on biological safety in the lab and implementation of the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules November 2007. These training sessions are archived online, and satisfy NIH training requirements.

Go to your Onestop Training Record

Log in with your x500 when prompted. Your personal training record will load. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Report completed training…” to access the self-report form.

Enter the title of the event (Either ‘Biological Safety in the Lab’ or ‘NIH Guidelines Training’ )

Enter the start date and end date on which training was completed (MM/DD/YYYY).

Enter the length of the online training in hours using decimals. For example, 1 hour = 1.0, 90 minutes = 1.5, etc.

Enter the provider of training ( Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)).

On the “Reason for Training” question, check: Compliance - To attend training needed to meet internal or external requirements.

Enter a brief description of the educational activity.

Click the “Report Course” button.

You will be prompted to review what you have entered: “Is the following information correct?"

If it looks correct, click the “Yes; Report It” button.

If it is not correct, click the “No; Edit It” button, and you will be returned to the prior page to correct the information you entered. When you have corrected the information, click the “report course” button (step 9 above). You will again be prompted to review (step 10).
