Complete online animal use tutorial. |

Visitors who will be working under the direct supervision of a certified animal user (i.e. will never contact an animal without a certified animal user present) and have already completed mandated training at their own Institution. |

Students who are part of a classroom project using animals |
Read Part I: Ethics of Animal Use in Research of the IACUC Animal Use Tutorial. |

All personnel who will contact specific pathogen-free (SPF) rodents or nonhuman primates |
Complete online animal use tutorial AND attend species-specific training |
Federal regulations also require that anyone working with animals in research or teaching be enrolled in an occupational health program. If one is listed as personnel on an animal research protocol, you must be enrolled in the University of Minnesota's ROHP. This is now required for approval of the IACUC protocol.
